Children at Stanstead Nursery & Primary School in Rise Park have ended their sports week with an amazing colour run on the school playing field.

The school children completed laps of the field as they were showered with brightly coloured powder creating a fantastic and joyful display to end their week of sports activities.

Year 5 pupil Mylan said, “The colour run was a truly magical feeling, and I was so happy to experience it with all of my friends!”

Isabelle, year 5, agreed saying, “The colour run was a great experience.  I was excited about it all week and I know I won’t ever forget the day. It was the first time we have ever done a colour run and I hope it won’t be the last. It was so much fun being together with everyone having fun and smiling.”

Tanya Smith is Head Teacher at the school located on Stanstead Avenue. She said that children and staff alike felt the day would be remembered for a long time. “The colour run was a great success and was a joyful culmination of our fantastic sports week.

“Children enjoyed being physically active in the sunshine and having a huge amount of fun at the same time. It was lovely to see the enjoyment in their faces!”
