Teaching Sequence for Writing programme

How the Teaching Sequence for Writing programme works

Teaching successful writing is not a mystery.  There is a clear sequence to the craft of teaching writing that can result in quality outcomes every time.

This year-round programme provides whole-school access to CPL tailored to the needs of your setting through a series of connected and complementary workshops, webinars, and tools.

The programme is led by expert literacy specialists who support leaders to plan a whole-school approach for achieving quality written outcomes.

Teachers come together in  year groups to learn how to develop a sequence from the inception of an idea to the development of vocabulary and the teaching of grammar that leads to effective planning and writing.

All sessions include supported planning time so teachers can implement the sequence the very next day in school.

The programme also comes with a dedicated toolkit to scaffold practice in school and fidelity to the model.

A writing diagnostic tool and guided reviews captures progress and allow schools to trouble shoot issues and termly webinars focus on key pupil groups.
