Two schools within our Flying High Partnership multi-academy trust have received letters congratulating their performance in the 2023 multiplication tables check from Minister for Schools, Damian Hinds.
In the letters, Damian Hinds says, “The excellent achievement of your pupils is something the Government hopes to see replicated in schools across the country…I would like to congratulate your staff and pupils for their hard work and to thank you for your leadership in continuing to promote the important subject of mathematics.”

The children work hard to practise their times tables, and this is evident in this fantastic result. At Stanstead we strive to ensure that all of our children reach their potential, and that we provide them with strong foundations to take forward into the next stage of their education.”

Dan Graney is Head Teacher at Edwalton Primary School and said both his teachers and children, deserved recognition for their hard work. “As a whole school we are very proud of our children’s efforts and achievement with their times-tables. I am proud of the high quality teaching our children receive and want to thank the teachers for making children’s learning fun and effective. But most of all, we want to say a huge well done to children, their enthusiasm and hard work has paid off with these magnificent results. They thoroughly deserve this recognition.”
