Lovers’ Lane Primary School is celebrating a new era as it joins the Flying High Partnership, a multi-academy trust of 34 schools which is ranked in the top five performing MATs in the country (with 10 or more primary schools).
The school, based on Warburton Street in Newark, is currently led by interim Headteacher, Rhian Richardson. Rhian will remain in post until the newly appointed Mr James Wood becomes Headteacher following the Easter holidays. James is currently Deputy Head at the Ofsted rated outstanding Cotgrave Candleby Lane School.
Alongside this news, the school is also enjoying a schedule of classroom and building renovations which have started in the Early Years environment. Dave Morris (Flying High Partnership Operations Team) explained, “We have taken steps to uplift our foundation area at Lovers’ Lane Primary School, with works comprising of a full redecoration, new flooring, and improved layouts for our youngest children.
“The Early Years is a great place to begin improving the environment in Lovers’ Lane, and the children are very excited to see the changes once it’s finished. We’re also making some small but significant improvement to the fabric of the building alongside the aesthetic changes, enhancing safety throughout the school as we go.”
Interim Head Teacher, Rhian Richardson said the school is embarking on an exciting future. “Lovers Lane Primary School is soaring into a bright new era as part of the Flying High Partnership. This exciting journey marks the beginning of incredible opportunities for our children, staff, and community. With a shared vision of excellence, innovation, and ambition, we are ready to unlock new potential, inspire young minds, and build a future filled with success. The sky is the limit, and together, we are Flying High!”
